We're not only updating some things at the Mill, we're also reviving this now 5th generation family farm in Southern York County, PA, and bringing the fruits of our labor to you!
Tulsi Fields Farm was established in the late 1860s/early 1870s when Brandon's great great grandfather emigrated from Germany and settled in the area, building the house and farm along Catholic Valley Road. The farm focuses on growing vegetables, flowers and herbs in an organic fashion for medicinal and culinary use. Now that's fresh!
INTRODUCING MATT WINK, CHIEF FARMING OFFICER AT TULSI FIELDS FARM
A transplant from Schuylkill Haven, PA, Matt attended York College and stayed in the area afterward. Matt has been in the restaurant and landscaping/farming industry for the last 20 years, with his most recent post as Pastry Chef for Wyndridge Farms. He is also an alumni of the Lancaster Farmacy part of the Farm Fresh Cooperative where he interned for 3 years. Matt joins the restaurant as a business partner, our in-house pastry chef and CFO (Chief Farming Officer). His focus besides the sweet treats you’ll see on our menu and buffets is going to be growing most of our fresh produce at Tulsi Fields Farm. You can look forward to seeing Matt co-hosting at the door on the weekends–he’ll be the one with the farmer’s tan!
