In mid 2018 we promoted our Sous Chef of 2 years to the position of Executive Chef. Meet Lawrence Hare! As a graduate of York Catholic High School, Chef Hare has roots in the area. He also has roots right here at the Mill with a stint as a bartender approximately 10 years ago when the former owners first took over the restaurant!
Chef Hare brings with him over 20 years’ experience in the restaurant industry. His culinary career began with an apprenticeship at the North Star Tahoe Ski Resort in Lake Tahoe, CA under the late Chef Chris Banovich. His experience gained around the country at the North Tahoe Cruise Line, the Napa Valley Food & Wine Festival, and in Jackson Hole, WY, has been an asset during his two years with the Glen Rock Mill Inn as Sous Chef.
Chef Hare now employs the skills he's learned, particularly the fresh vegetable shopping he did at the Napa Farm Market, to his role as Executive Chef due to the Mill's new farm-to-table dining concept. He enjoys the Mill’s family environment as well as the freedom he has to create new flavors and dishes. He is excited to help elevate the dining experience in his position at the Glen Rock Mill Inn!
